Los Angeles Performance Practice is excited to announce it’s involvement in RADAR LA, an international festival of contemporary theater, through collaboration with Manuel Orjuela on an international presentation of Rodrigo Garcia’s play You Should Have Stayed Home, Morons, making it’s English language premiere with a new translation by Andrea Thome.
Last seen at Bogotá’s El Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro, Orjuela’s bold site-responsive staging takes an intimate audience through four sites in Downtown Los Angeles, as Garcia’s text raises important questions about parenthood, education, and individual social responsibility.
Travelling from scene to scene, public pathways to private apartments, and back to the street- You Should Have Stayed Home, Morons is surprising and immersive, with text by one of Europe’s foremost anarchistic playwrights featuring an all-local ensemble!
You Should Have Stayed Home, Morons is presented with support from Center Theatre Group.
