Call It A Day

Greg Wohead

“There’s a kind of mysticism to his approach, as well as the future-facing historicism.”

Call it a Day (working title) is a new performance orbiting around ideas of control and release; how we keep hold of our self-presentation and when we lose it.

Through this lens, four performers will portray a fictional story that takes place in an Amish community over the course of one day that repeats over and over. Like a live art Amish Groundhog Day.

There will be an original soundtrack that evokes images of the Midwest landscape. There will be a framework that holds space for improvisation. All the performers will cry.

This project is early in development, with an anticipated premiere in 2017/18.  To support this work, please consider making a tax-deductible donation.
